A mysterious metal sphere, likened to space junk, was found by hikers in Bugaboo Provincial Park, British Columbia, and its bizarre appearance has sparked debate about its origins.

The sphere, made of dull grey metal with pieces welded onto it, has no visible markings and looks as though it has been through something destructive, such as extreme heat and speed from re-entering Earth’s atmosphere.

The discovery has sparked intrigue among locals and experts alike. Some speculate it could be part of a rocket or another piece of space hardware that has re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere. Others haven't ruled out an extraterrestrial origin, adding fuel to the UFO debate.

“I’ve never seen a piece like this,” said Chris Perry, president of the Kelowna branch of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, who examined the sphere. He noted that while it has the hallmarks of space debris, its unique construction doesn't match any known pieces of spacecraft that he’s aware of.

The sphere is currently under investigation to try and determine its exact origin and purpose. This finding underscores the amount of unknown objects that exist and continues to capture the imagination of both scientists and UFO enthusiasts.
